Make the program fully usable using the keyboard so that we can use it using remote controls / gamepads and key mapping software.
Using arrow keys and enter for navigation would be great.29 votes
YouTubers put links in the About sections leading to other videos and channels. Hyper replaces the link with a button to tap to view the video in Hyper, add the video in the "Now Playing" playlist, or view a channel in Hyper (instead of clicking the link to open IE, and watching it from there) It works with youtube.com/... links, but not with the youtu.be/... links (the abbreviated one).1 vote
It would be cool if Hyper can Play to TV. I can choose a video or playlist on Hyper, stream to my TV or Chromecast, and control playback from Hyper.6 votes
PlayTo is implemented. It currently only works with 360p and 720p qualities properly. Use the devices charm to play to your DLNA device. (Like an Xbox 360) Chromecast does not have an official Windows 8 API, so will not be supported in the foreseeable future. Sorry!

Windows 8.1 update is available.
When I pin a channel to the start screen it would be nice if the generated tile becomes live1 vote
Fixed and working in Windows 8.1 update.
Currently, when we launch the app when not connected to the internet, we just go back to the home screen. So, the downloads downloaded would not be accessible without an Internet connection and without just going straight to the folder where the videos are stored at. Is it possible to maybe have an "Offline Mode" in the app that allows us to enter but only displays our downloads or something so that we are able to watch videos directly in the app itself?4 votes
Windows 8.1 update has a offline mode.
Would it be possible to outline the white colour with black or at least make it able to invert the background colour instead? From my personal experience, it's difficult to locate the thing when the video being watched has a white background or something...3 votes
I like to watch videos on Hyper, but sometimes I can't because I don't quite understand what people are saying, and I can't enable captions like I do in the YouTube website.
It would be very helpful for people like me whose first language is not English, and for people with hearing problems.
I hope this link is helpful:
The YouTube Ali doesn’t really provide a way to get captions for videos: Captions for a video can only be created, retrieved, modified and deleted by the owner of that video.
You can have captions if you use the YouTube player (select in settings).
